The Sumitomo ST717 tire is engineered for long haul, regional and urban applications. It features a closed shoulder, 5 rib design that provides superb handling and grip on both wet and dry surfaces. The optimized shoulder rib resists the effects of scuffing for longer mileage. In wet conditions, the grooves remove water from the contact patch to improve hydroplaning resistance while microgrooves slice through water film to enhance grip. rnrn
